4K DV HDR10+ of Avatar will fallback to HDR10+ playback in your TV. No need to look for SDR for this movie, if your TV already support HDR10+.

4K is mostly watched on a device that already has HDR/DV support. If you want SDR 4K, I'm afraid I have bad news: in the future, very few movies will be released in SDR even WEB-DL.
If your device doesn't support HDR/DV, I suggest choosing 1080p REMUX.

Try MPC using Madvr renderer and use HDR to SDR. need ATLEAST 4gb of dedicated video memory preferably more and within the last 10 years. I use a GTX 1650 GDDR6 version for example and it runs well with my settings I use ssim 2d for 4k to 1080p, 4k lags sometimes.sometimes not always though. on a 4k screen, I use 1080p in windows resolution.
